I feel very honoured to have been one of the subjects of ‘Portraits of the Resistance,’ this outstanding new piece of work by writer and photographer Kerry Murray.

Kerry first approached me with the idea of a photo-book to stand as a permanent historical record of the anti-tyranny activism which took place during the pivotal days of 2020 and ’21. He had singled out a handful of individuals whom he felt had really stepped up to the plate and whose stories were worth sharing.

He’s since switched to running these as a series of stories on his Sub Stack platform, the high cost of print publishing being what it is.

Here’s my instalment. Huge respect and thanks goes out to Kerry for this, and you can find more of his outstanding work at:

As has now become tradition, Ivan from Phoenix re-appears as guest host, as he quizzes Mark Devlin about the latest of his books.

This one is the follow-up “truth fiction” novel to 2019’s ‘The Cause & The Cure,’ titled ‘The Gift & The Curse.’ Again set in the city of Oxford, “Illuminati Central,’ it catches up with the characters of the first story ten years on, against the backdrop of the terrible events of 9/11 in 2001.

Mark discusses with Ivan the process of putting such stories together, and what empowering messages can be delivered under the guise of “fiction.”

Some reflections on my recent mini speaking tour of Australia, which was a great success. Big thanks to everyone who attended the four events, and all who helped to organise and support the visit - one which, in 2020, I never thought was going to able to happen!

THE GIFT & THE CURSE - OFFICIAL LAUNCH

Today is 9th November, “Britain’s 9/11,” so it’s the ideal day to officially launch my new book, ‘The Gift & The Curse.’

This is a “truth fiction” novel, serving as the follow up to ‘The Cause & The Cure.’ It catches up with the main characters from the earlier book, ten years on in 2001. It’s again set in Oxford, against the backdrop of the 9/11 events, but 9th November figures very heavily in the storyline!

An audiobook will follow just as soon as I’ve had the chance to record it. There’s also a Kindle-friendly e-book version.
