GOOD VIBRATIONS, VOL. 81: ESOTERIC AND OCCULT ASPECTS OF PRINCE, PART 2, WITH DAN MONROE

For our second volume examining all kinds of unexplained Prince-related strangeness, we chat to Dan Monroe, formerly of the Planet X radio show in Liverpool, and now based in Western Australia. Dan presents a thorough examination of lyrical themes, motifs and symbols employed throughout Prince's phenomenal legacy of work. Evident throughout is the theme of duality - light contrasted with dark, good with the darker side of human nature, and - the key point - sexual sin balanced with spiritual redemption.



This volume acts as a complement to the first Prince-related instalment examining some of the strange aspects of Prince's death, with Freeman and Matt Sergio. That one can be found here:

THE GLASTONBURY SYMPOSIUM, THIS JULY

The range of subjects to be covered at this Summer's Glastonbury Symposium is looking awesome. The closest thing the UK has to the US Free Your Mind Conference, and now 25 years strong. THROWBACK THURSDAY: THE SOUND OF NOW, 16/6/12

This radio show, from June 2012, turned out to be a very happy accident. I remember arriving at the studios that day and being horrified to discover that I'd left all my tunes at home. All I had was a CD wallet of older stuff in the car. I very quickly threw together a spontaneous revival session based around what I had with me. it ended up being, in my opinion, one of the best shows I've ever put out, consisting of top-notch tuneage throughout, delivered on the fly.

FREE YOUR MIND 4 CONFERENCE - A PARADIGM-CHANGER

If the three days' worth of information I've just witnessed at the Free Your Mind 4 conference were broadcast worldwide on mainstream TV, the human population would be talking about nothing else the next day, and the world would literally change overnight.

The over-riding theme of all the speakers' talks on human consciousness, mass mind control and the subversive influences of the dark occult, was how the power to change the current system of mental, physical and spiritual slavery into one of true freedom, lies with us ourselves, and no-one else. It always has, and it can happen ANY time we collectively will it into place through our consciousness, whether next Tuesday or in 1,000 years. The end of all the death, destruction, suffering and mayhem is literally right there for the taking ANY moment we want it enough in our mass numbers. Getting this understanding across to the mind-controlled, TV-watching, McDonalds-consuming masses and waking them up from their induced trances remains the great work that all who come to an understanding of truth have an obligation to communicate, therefore, because until they get with the programme, expect more of the same. Every speaker made this point, because it's the truth of this reality in which we find ourselves.

An awesome gathering of minds and souls drew to a close on Sunday, with Jeanice Barcelo delivering another emotionally devastating, but essential presentation, Jim Marrs and Max Igan among the many others imparting resonant words of wisdom, and Mark Passio rounding off in characteristically hard-hitting form. The three days zipped by in a flash, and many new friendships were made. Events such as this should be happening in every country around the world.

Big respect to all my brothers and sisters who attended, and special props to Bob Tuskin and John Vibes for all the hard work in organising and hosting. It was awesome!

As the sixth anniversary of the passing of Guru approaches, here's my interview with him from 1999, done spontaneously when I bumped into him shopping for records at Fat Beats in Amsterdam. While the tributes continue to flow for J Dilla, Biggie, Tupac and Jam Master Jay, I feel Guru is very much a forgotten name when it comes to departed hip-hop heroes. His final days in a coma and the dark influence of "super producer" (his words) Solar make his story all the more tragic. But his inspiring words will live on forever through his music. R.I.P Guru.

MARK DEVLIN AT THE OPEN MIND CONFERENCE, NETHERLANDS, MAY 2016

I'm happy to be one of the featured speakers at the Open Mind Conference Netherlands in May, taking place just outside Amsterdam at Centrum Zonnewizjer in Aalsmeer. Others on the bill include Max Igan, Ian R Crane, Zen Gardner, Ole Dammegard and Louise Sutton. 

The organisers have said that they want this to follow a different format to regular conferences, with speakers being far more interactive with audience members, and uncovering solutions-based stuff together. Looking forward to another stimulating weekend in great company.
