Robert Palmer's is not a name that enters conversations about the true, terrible nature of the corporate music industry often. Yet examination beyond the surface level reveals all the familiar elements - a military intelligence father, key affiliations with other industry assets, unpredictable behaviours, a rumoured affair with Princess Diana, and a highly suspicious early death in Paris.
