JUST BUGGIN PAYS TRIBUTE TO GURU & MALCOLM McLAREN
The number of tributes to fallen music heroes is becoming alarmingly frequent. Nevertheless, it's only right to mark the passing of legends. So tonight's Just Buggin will be entirely dedicated to the memory of two wildly different, but equally influential figures.
In the first hour, I'll be airing New York DJ Mr Cee's Throwback At Noon mix from Hot 97 celebrating the life of Guru. In the second, I'm going with DJ Premier's recent tribute mix to Malcolm McLaren aired on his Sirius Radio show. This encompasses both his punk and new wave days, as well as his dabblings in electro hip-hop with 1983's Duck Rock album.
Tune in from 10pm UK time at www.fm1079.com. Or check back for the Listen Again links from tomorrow.
