Dan presents a thorough examination of lyrical themes, motifs and symbols employed throughout Prince's phenomenal legacy of work. Evident throughout is the theme of duality - light contrasted with dark, good with the darker side of human nature, and - the key point - sexual sin balanced with spiritual redemption.
