I was very shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Dave McGowan on Sunday, apparently as the result of cancer. Dave was a highly-respected conspiracy researcher and author, best-known in the music field for his groundbreaking work on the artists coming out of Laurel Canyon in the hippie era. His book, 'Weird Scenes Inside The Canyon', was invaluable in showing the connections between the music industry and the military-intelligence community.
