GOOD VIBRATIONS PODCAST, VOL. 36: MEL BELL-GREY, ROUND 2

British researcher, filmmaker, musician and activist Mel Bell-Grey joins GV for another far-reaching discussion, loosely rooted in the systematic oppression and subjugation of black people throughout known human history.

This diverse and challenging conversation covers - among many other subjects - the Tottenham riots of 1985 and the more recent UK city riots of 2011, Mark Duggan, the Stephen Lawrence case, institutionalised racism in the police, the Woolwich/ Lee Rigby incident, the infiltration of hip hop specifically, and the music industry generally, Jimmy Savile and the BBC, and the 'Arab Spring' uprisings. Mel ends on a positive, inspiring and spiritual note.

Contains the 'Constable Savage' sketch from BBC2's 'Not The Nine O Clock News' back in the day, and the tracks 'Conspiracy' by Gang Starr and 'Police & Thieves' by Junior Murvin.
