90S THROWBACK PARTY AT THE PLAYHOUSE, PORTRUSH, SATURDAY 10TH MARCH

Any opportunity to play an old school throwbacks set makes me a happy man, so looking forward to getting out to Northern Ireland next month to do just that - a pre-St. Paddy's Day session alongside my buddy Needle Knievel at The Playhouse in Portrush.

GOOD VIBRATIONS PODCAST VOLUME 2, WITH NESHA (SINGER AND FORMER BBC 1XTRA DJ)

On to the second instalment that cuts through the glossy veneer of the music industry to examine what's really going on behind the scenes. In this one, Mark Devlin engages in some real talk with Nesha, who many will remember as an R&B singer with hits such as 'What's It Gonna Be?'. She went on to become a daytime presenter on the BBC's 1Xtra radio station, before parting company a few years ago, somewhat disillusioned at some of the attitudes and practices she had found at the BBC.

More recently, she's been paying attention to the themes, subliminal messages and symbols contained in popular music, and has questioned what they are designed to achieve. Here, she shares many of her observations. Thought provoking throughout.

WHITNEY HOUSTON: MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE

"If I should die this very day
Don't cry, 'cause on Earth we weren't meant to stay."

A fitting epitaph. It's all about the lyrics.

If tomorrow is judgment day (Sing Mommy)
And I'm standing on the front line
And the Lord asks me what I did with my life
I will say I spent it with you

If I wake up in World War III
I see destruction and poverty
And I feel like I want to go home
It's okay if you're coming with me

'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us
'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us

If I lose my fame and fortune
And I'm homeless on the street
And I'm sleeping in Grand Central Station
It's okay if you're sleeping with me

As the years they pass us by
We stay young through each other's eyes
And no matter how old we get
It's okay as long as I got you baby

'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us
'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us

If I should die this very day
Don't cry, 'cause on Earth we weren't meant to stay
And no matter what the people say
I'll be waiting for you after the judgment day

'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us
'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couln't hold us

R.I.P. WHITNEY HOUSTON

Always a beautiful record. RIP Whitney. Another one lost.

BBC DEFENDS DECISION TO EDIT THE WORD 'PALESTINE" OUT OF LIVE RADIO FREESTYLE

BBC radio, like other stations, has long had a policy of censoring swear words from its broadcasts. But last year, rapper Mic Righteous had the phrase 'free Palestine' censored during a live freestyle on BBC 1Xtra. Here's a Press TV report follow-up.

MADONNA/ MIA/ MINAJ - SUBLIMINAL PROGRAMMING AT THE SUPER BOWL

And here we go... No huge surprise to find Madonna/ MIA/ Minaj's Super Bowl performances were loaded with yet more Illuminati/ masonic/ esoteric imagery. No worries though. It's all just harmless "entertainment", right? Mark Dice breaks it down nicely!
